First of all I love this thing, I tried everything from life jackets to puddle jumpers etc… my son hating having anything around his neck or arms while swimming so I decided to try this out and he LOVES IT! Within one day of using it he is now swimming independently throughout the pool with this flotation aid (before I had to hold him the entire time while in the pool) Many of the one star reviews are because they are saying it does not keep their child upright or their head above the water, this is not meant to do that. Your child needs to be able to move their arms and legs to keep them above water and centered (just like they would need to do without a flotation aid) this leans them forward in a natural swimming position. YOU STILL HAVE TO BE RIGHT NEXT TO YOUR CHILD WHILE THEY ARE SWIMMING WITH THIS FLOTATION AID it will not keep their head above water they can tip over if they are not doing the work to swim so this device is not meant for your infant baby to keep them upright without any support.

I have a two year old who loves water. This is the first summer that hes able to roam around the pool without being held. This floaty holds him up real well and he was able to learn how to use it after one try. Its really helped him work on his leg muscles and coordination. We brought to Lake Tahoe, the Bay and the pool. Easy to clean and wash but do not put in the dryer (for obvious reasons). My child is 27lbs/35 inches.

This was an excellent purchase and it really does protect from the sun. The fact that it comes with a hat and the hat has a flap in the back to protect your neck from the sun. Overall, this product was really good.

My child has swam so much more confidently day after day in this suit. He never falls forward or backward when he swims in it. He can keep kicking and moving his arms freely. I saw some other reviews of falling forward so make sure the zipper is in the front. I would highly recommend. My son is 20 months.
